During the summer of 2024 I was given the opportunity to be a part of Offsite Design, an online industrial design program with classes taught by industry leaders.
Through the Workflow course, I was given the prompt to design a clock for Floyd Home. This would include looking at the brands design language, then creating CAD models, then rendering them, and putting together a design concept pitch deck.

After receiving critique from my instructors, I decided to go with the second design, with the form that resembles the Gere Easy Chair, and revise it to be closer to the visual design aspects of the original chair.

In my original design the clock body was made out of an injection molded plastic, but I wanted to give it a softer feel, like a chair, and changed it for a denim-like woven fabric. It now sits lower and wider, with the clock face tilting back more - making it an intriguing desk timepiece.

CONCLUSION
Before this project I had no knowledge of rendering through Keyshot, which felt like a daunting task. But through great instruction and some trial and error, I learned so much about capturing a brands visual language, putting together a scene, and doing so efficiently and effectively.
